do these 2 things and you'll never run out of email topics

I had lunch with my friend Tim yesterday.

Tim is a copywriter. And he is also growing his own personal brand.

At one point in our conversation, Tim started speaking passionately about something...

And when he was finished, he pulled out his phone.

He spent about 30 seconds typing. Then he sat his phone back down on the table and breathed a sigh of relief.

I had an idea of what was happening. But I decided to ask anyway.

"What was that?"

"Oh, I had an idea for an email," he said.

This is the first thing you should do if you want a never-ending list of email topics:

Constantly look for them. And when you find them -- write them down.

But if I'm being honest --

In my experience, just looking for topics and making notes in my phone hasn't been enough.

There's one other thing that makes email topics seemingly appear out of nowhere:

Actually sit down and write an email to your list on a regular basis.

Think about it like this:

If it's Thursday and you know you want to email your list soon...

Then you'll be looking everywhere for things to write about.

And when you get to that point, something as simple as a friend making a note in his phone can become an email topic. ;)
